Anurag bags 'Paradesi' distribution rights

Anurag Kashyap is the director of "Dev D" and also the latest "Gangster of Wasseypur".  He recently said that he was inspired by many a director in Kollywood, including Ameer, Sasikumar and Bala. Now, to make this statement a fact, Anurag has bought the distribution rights of Bala's upcoming "Paradesi".

"Paradesi" has a cast of Atharvaa, Vedhika and Dhansika in the lead roles and is said to be inspired by the novel "Red Tea" written by PH Daniel. This movie is based on the lives of the people working in the tea plantations during the British period. This story revolves around the people who were cheated into slavery. Balu Mahendra watched "Paradesi" and was so moved by the film that he hugged Bala after watching it. "It is one of the best movies I have ever seen and definitely Bala's best ever." said the veteran director.
